The Trailer For The Next Episode Of Game Of Thrones Is Here

It looks as though things will be hotting up in Winterfell next week

*** WARNING: SPOILERS ARE COMING ***

Right, the second episode of the final season of Game of Thrones has been and gone, which of course means it's time to start getting excited about next week's episode.

Fortunately, HBO has already released a trailer to help us get all worked up once again.

Judging from the short preview, it seems like things are going to get very dark next week.

First of all, it appears the dreaded Night King and his army of the dead have rocked up in Winterfell. Secondly, it literally is very very dark. Seriously, if it wasn't for the odd flicker of flame here or there it would essentially be an audio book. Still, a dramatic audio book nonetheless.

It's fair to say, though, that most Game of Thrones fans will be happy to see the ante upped next week. The first two episodes of the final season have been a little steady by the show's normal rip-roaring standards - the relative calm before the much-anticipated storm that looks forecast to blow into Winterfell next week.

The newly-knighted Ser Brienne of Tarth in particular appears to have found herself in a spot of bother as she yells to the soldiers around her, 'stand your ground!'... Soldiers who are presumably shit scared about an impending charge from the army of the dead.

Things got a little icy between Jon Snow and Daenerys.

It will also be interesting to see how things develop between Jon Snow and Daenerys after he told her he is the true heir to the Iron Throne, which quite frankly she didn't seem best pleased about.

Arya also got freaky with Gendry, which lots of viewers found difficult to watch. Sure we've seen all kinds of debauchery across the course of the last seven seasons, but to many of us, Arya still seems too young to be getting involved with all that smut.

Game of Thrones will air on Sky Atlantic at 2am each Monday, and again at 9pm on Monday.
