For fuck's sake! I know Game of Thrones can't go on forever... actually... yes it can! It's been heavily reported there will be two series left and, even more tragically, it has been mooted that there would be fewer episodes, too. This has just been confirmed by David Benioff, who suggests we've got around 13 hours of GoT time left. 13 episodes!
He told Deadline: "It's two more seasons we're talking about. From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that's what we'll end up with. Call it 73 for now. We're trying to tell one cohesive story with a beginning, middle and end. As Dan said, we've known the end for quite some time and we're hurtling towards it."
We've been waiting for six seasons for the White Walkers to get to the other side of the wall and it's not happened yet, so how is everything going to be wrapped up in 13 hours? How are Jon and Dany gonna make incest love and Cersei die terribly so swiftly? Is every episode going to be like The Winds of Winter now? Just death after death after death?
To be fair, the article with Deadline is absolutely fantastic, and I'd tell any of you to give it a read.

When asked what Cersei will be like now all her children are dead (told you there'd be spoilers, don't cry if you risked it for a soggy biscuit), Daniel Weiss had this to say: "Not to give a frustrating answer, but that's what so much of next season is going to be about; finding out what Cersei's mind-set is. Who is she? While Cersei has certainly done a lot of horrible things in her life and she could be a very cruel person, the one thing that was redemptive about her was, she genuinely loved her children. Now they're all gone, and I think that is very interesting for us. Who is she without her children? The answer is something you'll find out next season. That's so much of what is to come that I'll just give it away if I start delving into it now."
Sounds fucking awesome. What isn't awesome is the amount of GoT time left!!

It also pisses all over my hopes of Littlefinger playing the long game and taking the Iron Throne. I don't think he'll be able to play everyone off so much in that time that he claims it. And that makes me very sad.
