Think 'The Incredibles 2' Is For Kids? You Better Think Again...

'The Incredibles 2' is finally out, 14 years after the original film. Which means all the kids who saw the first one are adults now...

We've been waiting for The Incredibles 2 for a long, long, long, long time. 14 years, to be precise. So it's little wonder that there are many adults who were eagerly awaiting its release that were just children when the first movie came out, and who refuse to believe or accept that the sequel hasn't been made for them.

Which is understandable and makes total sense, if you really think about it. Especially if you think about the idea of a sequel being targeted at a demographic who weren't even alive when the original came out. But then, that's what Netflix and DVDs are for, right?

Anyway, the film is finally here and - despite its PG rating, which means that it's suitable for pretty much everybody from the age of one day and older, so long as there's a parent or parental figure with them - there's been a hilarious reaction from all those confused people who are now adults but who have been desperately waiting to watch it.

Twitter, of course, is filled with some hilarious reactions. Here are just a few of them that tickled our fancy (and made us feel less ashamed about really wanting to watch a cartoon at the cinema):

If you weren't born when the first movie came out, we'd advise to watch it before watching the sequel. It's actually really good - a tale about a family of superheroes headed up by Mr Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), in a place where superheroes are outlawed. Yet they defy the rules and don the costumes in order to save the world.

To be honest, we'd argue that the first one was never actually a kids' movie either. And that's not just because we were old enough to know better when it came out. Honest.
