'This Morning' Delayed As Holly And Phil 'Don't Turn Up To Work' After Heavy Night At NTAs

Remember last year when Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby turned up to present This Morning looking slightly... er, worse for for wear? The pair had attended the National Television Awards and celebrated winning Best Live Magazine Show with a massive sesh - before appearing on camera the next day still decked out in the clothes they'd worn the night before. LADs.

Well, looks like they might have done it again, having won the Daytime TV award last night - and clearly partying so hard that the morning show was delayed because they didn't turn up.

After a few minutes of confusion, the pair finally 'turned up', jumping through a screen with the award that they'd proudly won the night before.

This Morning's official Twitter account hinted that the two might be struggling a bit, tweeting a picture of an empty studio, captioned: "The lights are on, but are @Schofe and @hollywills even home yet?"

Minutes before going on air, the show also teased us some more with a photo of a couple of shots of tequila - a tipple that the duo are known for indulging in from time to time - next to the award on the coffee table in front of the sofa.

Holly herself added to speculation that a good night had perhaps been had by all, posting an image of herself tucking into the most nutritious breakfast of all: pizza, that looks suspiciously like remnants of the previous night's takeaway.

The picture was accompanied by the simple caption 'breakfast'. Relatable content, right there.

TV chef Phil Vickery tweeted to say that he was on hand with some 'hangover food', with Twitter users warning him to maybe avoid the blender and other noisy appliances for today.

Meanwhile, the Sun reports that Holly and Phil had asked for an easier ride with today's content, quoting a source as saying: "They know they're going to have a brilliant night out so they asked bosses to make sure tomorrow's episode isn't a huge serious one.

"Viewers love the show after the NTAs so Holly and Phil want to make sure it's as fun as possible for them."
