This Video Proves Jon Snow Is Destined For The Iron Throne

The only one we want ruling Westeros

In the second last episode of this season of Game of Thrones, we learnt that Rhaegar annulled his first marriage to wed Lyanna Stark, making Jon Snow his only legitimate heir and wiping clean the notion that our hero is a bastard.

It also means that Jon Snow is the heir to the Iron Throne.

"He's never been a bastard," recounts Bran after one of his visions, unusually slow on the uptake. "He's the heir to the Iron Throne."

But he never wanted the throne, and he often doubts his leadership - perhaps a good sign for any leader.

This emotional video recounts exactly why Jon Snow is the true king and the one we deserve. He's proved himself again and again as a hero, a leader and a warrior, sacrificing everything to keep his people safe.

If it doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you must be a White Walker.

Let's officially call him the Targaryen Wolf now we know he's a legitimate Targaryen.

In the last few episodes, we also found out the name his mother gave him; Aegon Targaryen. So to give him titles worthy of Daenarys Stormborn herself, we should really start calling him Jon Snow, Aegon Targaryen, VI of his name, rightful heir to the Iron Throne, rightful King of the Andals and the First Men. The White Wolf. The Dragon raised by Wolves. The King in the North. The Bastard of Winterfell.

Sort of rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? At any rate, it's much better than Ned Stark's bastard.

And kudos to the honourable Ned Stark himself for keeping a spoiler to himself and going to the grave with Jon Snow's parentage a true secret. What an uncle. The sacrifices he made to keep his loved ones safe is truly epic.

Jon Snow takes a lot of cues from Ned Stark himself, loyal, honourable, straight forward and blunt. But he survived his jaunt down south, possibly because he's learned from his beloved uncle's mistakes and possibly because he's half Targaryen.

And just because he's heir to the thrones doesn't mean that he's had an easy life. Shunned as a bastard at Winterfell, he took the Black when his step-mother refused to acknowledge him and let him stay in his home when Ned went down south. Then he had a tough time taking orders from the crows, going north beyond the wall, having to kill his commander and convince the Wildlings that he was one of them.

His ex-girlfriend died in his arms, he had to deal with Stannis, his own people stabbed him to death, he's had to deal with the trauma of being resurrected and then he saw Rickon being killed and almost died in a pile up during a battle with the Boltons.

And now he has to save everyone from the undead.

I mean... apart from the time in the cave with Ygritte, it's been a while since we saw Jon Snow even smile!

He doesn't even want to rule! Which is exactly why he should.

What the video leaves out is how Dany, his new lover and aunt, is going to fit into all of this. Will they fight over the Iron Throne? Will they get married? Will she back down? Will he refuse to take it?

The anticipation is almost too much to take!
