'Time Traveler Who Visited The Year 8973' Shares Vision Of Future

The idea of time travel is often explored in terms of the past - where would you visit and who would you want to meet? - and less frequently in terms of the future.

Even less discussed is the logical consequence of both: if you suddenly ended up in a different time, would anyone believe you if you said you'd came back?

This has been well discussed throughout culture - from H.G. Wells' The Time Machine, Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five and through to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, the question has fascinated audiences for generations.

'What's that got to do with the price of fish?' you might ask. Well - an English bloke called William Taylor claims to have visited the future on many occasions.

Of course, if you go around telling the world that you've been to the future, most people aren't going to believe you. Mr Taylor is well aware of this, but he doesn't seem that bothered.

He tells of working for the British government, and the British intelligence agency no less, and claims to be in fear of reprisals as a result of telling his story.

"There are many advanced technologies being kept secret from you," he tells the camera in a video for Apex TV. "There are plans to release these to the public eventually but as of now, they are highly classified. They are going to come after me for making this video, I am putting myself at risk for telling you the truth."

"Time travel was first successfully accomplished in 1981," he continued. "There is an infinite number of alternate universes, it's possible every one of these universes exist and it's possible to move between these universes. We developed a machine to not only time travel, but move between these parallel universes."

He claims to have visited the year 3000 - not much has changed, but apparently, they live underwater - and described his experience.

"I looked up and saw flying transportation above me but I could only see the lights penetrating through the thick smog," he claims. He says that he went to 8973, a date that he claims that the British government thinks that men and machines will have fused together.

Of course, the longer you watch the video, the weirder it gets. When you start with time travel to the future, then that leads to parallel universes, then invisibility and beyond. We're not sure that it's true - spoiler: it almost certainly isn't - but it certainly is entertaining.
