So it looks like Tom Hardy has finally sucked it up and honoured his bet with his Revenant co-star Leonardo DiCaprio - by getting his new 'Leo Knows All' tattoo.
Two years ago, the Mad Max actor lost a bet to his best bud Leo after Hardy doubted that he'd get an Oscar nomination for his supporting role in the 2016 blockbuster The Revenant.
Hardy played adventurer John Fitzgerald in the movie and was promptly rewarded with a Best Supporting Actor nomination in 2015 - amazing news for him, but it cost him the friendly wager
Speaking with Esquire magazine in 2016, Hardy admitted that because he lost, he now had to get a tattoo of Leo's choosing - and it wasn't a classy one.
"He wrote, in this really shitty handwriting: 'Leo knows everything,'" Hardy said. "I was like, 'OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly.'"
After putting off getting the ink done for ages, it looks like Tom has finally caved in, as picture have emerged of Hardy with 'Leo knows all' etched, all in black caps, across his right bicep. Good luck living that one down, Tom.
The revelation came as snaps showed Hardy hanging out with fans after he was spotted pottering around with his motorcycle in San Francisco, California.
Sharing a selfie with Hardy on Instagram, fan Andrew Calisterio wrote: "A couple Pictures for @tomhardy today. Fingers crossed he posts them. Regardless here's an obligatory selfie."

Of course, other fans hadn't forgotten about Leo and Tom's little wager, and quickly asked whether Andrew had spotted it.
"Fuck! Did you notice the 'Leo knows...' tattoo on his bicep? Wasn't that the bet?" one person wrote.
"Leo should be smiling now," another person added.
Just a few weeks ago Hardy shared a selfie on his Instagram showing his arms without the tattoo. Does that mean that he's only just got around to honouring the bet?
Hardy's Oscar nomination for his role in The Revenant was well deserved as he gave life to Fitzergerald, the adventurer who backstabs Leonardo DiCaprio's frontiersman character Hugh Glass in the semi-autobiographical survival story.
Sadly Hardly didn't end up picking up the award for Best Supporting Actor in the end - that went to Mark Rybel for his portrayal of Rudolf Abel in Bridge of Spies - but he did thank the production team for helping him land the nomination.
Meanwhile, Leo picked up his first ever Academy Award for his portrayal of Glass - landing the gong for Best Actor at the fourth time of trying.
This isn't the first time that Hardy has gotten a tattoo after losing a wager with one of his besties - he also famously has the name of his agent Lindy King on his arm due to her influence in helping him break Hollywood.
Maybe Tom should learn from his run-in with Leo and stop making bets for a while - or at least insist the forfeit is a bit less embarrassing.Featured Image Credit: PA / Twitter
