There's a reason dogs are called 'man's best friend', they're amazing animals.

And now they finally seem to be getting the respect they deserve with a whole film set to be released this year which celebrates some of the most impressive dogs in the world.

But if you can't wait for the movie's release, then we have some good news, as the trailer for the heartwarming feature, Superpower Dogs, has just dropped, and it looks incredible.

According to the synopsis, the film will allow audiences to 'experience the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world's most amazing dogs'.

The film follows some of he bravest and most courageous dogs in the world.

It says: "In this inspiring true story, our best friends are also real-life superheroes. Journey around the globe to meet remarkable dogs who save lives and discover the powerful bond they share with their human partners.

"Follow Halo, a rookie puppy training to join one of the most elite disaster response teams in America.

"Meet Henry, an avalanche rescue expert in the Canadian Rockies, Reef, a Newfoundland lifeguard with the Italian coastguard, Ricochet, a Californian surf legend helping people with special needs, and the Bloodhound brothers, Tipper & Tony, who are leading the fight to save endangered species in Africa.

"As we discover the incredible abilities of dogs and the astonishing science behind their superpowers, we'll never look at our best friends the same way again!"

And if you needed any more reason to book a ticket and go and see the film, Captain America himself, Chris Evans, narrates the entire thing.

But this isn't the first time dogs have been the focus of the camera over the past few months.

Last year Netflix released its original series, Dogs, a six-part series which looked into the bonds that tie man and his best friend together.

Such is the depth of feeling some owners have for their canine companions, one person says: "When I'm sad, or angry, or suffering, she understand. She's part of me. I love her."

The trailblazing show was created by dog lover Glen Zipper and executive producer Amy Berg, who admitted since making the show she has become even more obsessed with dogs than ever before.

Superpower Dogs is set to hit cinemas in March.
