Season six of Game of Thrones is almost drawing to a close which means it's time to find a new show to get addicted to. And time for us to write about something else, too. (Beat you to the comment).
HBO is serving up a 10-episode sci-fi/thriller called Westworld, which will premiere on the network in October. So you've got a bit of a wait, mind. But still, it's something to look forward to. Just putting this out there...it looks fucking incredible!

The series is an adaptation of Michael Crichton's (best known for writing Jurassic Park) 1973 film of the same name. His classic saw robots handling a theme park beginning to kill its visitors.
It has been described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin" by the Hollywood Reporter, which sounds pretty damn decent to me.
The trailer opens with humanoid Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) sitting in a Lynchian, dark room and we hear her being asked by a voice if she's ever "questioned the nature of [her] reality."

It looks sick...
The cast includes (but is in no way restricted to), Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, James Marsden and Anthony Hopkins and written, directed and executive produced by Jonathan Nolan, who is best known for co-writing hit films such as The Dark Knight and Interstellar. And yep, he's the brother of Christopher. It's also got J.J. Abrams on board as an executive producer.
