For those of you who watch dating show 'Take Me Out', you may have wondered at some point where the infamous Isle of Fernando's is.

Paddy McGuinness often mentions the island on the show, although he doesn't really make it sound like the most luxurious place in the world. The truth is actually the complete opposite, it's gorgeous.

Fernando's is actually in Tenerife. Specifically Puerto De La Cruz on the northern coast. It's only a four-hour flight away so perfect for the singletons and their fun-packed dates.

According to Mirror, they used to stay in a hotel but they've now moved over to a villa. Makes sense, really. You wouldn't want to be annoying the other guests all the time with filming and that. I know what I'm like, three days into a holiday and IDGAF about what I look like anymore. Imagine being caught unaware in the background of a TV show watched by millions.

There's loads to do. You can't miss the giant Mount Teide volcano which dominates the skyline...

It is an active volcano, however the last major eruption took place over 300 years ago in 1706. You can get a cable car part of the way up the volcano, but then if you want to go any further you require a permit. They are free, but you have to apply for one.

The average temperature is at least 20 degrees Celsius (and that's in January). The hottest month is August when the average temperature is 27.8. Nice.

I fancy a trip to Fernando's.
