Will Smith Vents His Frustration With Sony Pictures Over 'Bad Boys 3'

Will Smith Vents His Frustration With Sony Pictures Over 'Bad Boys 3'

We've waited too long and it seems Will Smith himself feels our pain.

We haven't seen the dynamic duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as a pair of Miami detectives since 2003.

There has been a lot of talk about a third Bad Boys movie since director Michael Bay said he wanted to continue the franchise in 2008 - then... nothing.

We thought it was just us, the fans, that were desperate for our dose of Bad Boys 3 but it seems Will Smith himself is getting pretty impatient, too.

In fact it seems he's even more eager than us because he's literally banging his head against the wall - not even metaphorically.

Smith can be seen banging his head against a wall, a tree, a palm tree on the beach, and a telephone booth. Calm down, mate, it isn't all that bad.

Bad Boys 3 seems to have been in development forever. It was initially pencilled in for February 17 2017 according to Digital Spy, then had an original release date of January 12, 2018 - obviously that's passed and it was pushed back to November 9, 2018.

Then the film featured its biggest setback when director Joe Carnahan, made his exit from the project due to scheduling conflicts.

With Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah now signed on to direct, Sony has confirmed a January 17, 2020 release date for Bad Boys for Life.

According to That Hashtag Show, some details of the plot have been leaked. The new film will see Marcus Burnett (played by Martin Lawrence) working as a private investigator having fallen out with Mike Lowery (Will Smith).

Lowery is in the midst of a mid-life crisis while having to deal with being matched with a new younger partner.

The pair find themselves reunited after an Albanian puts out a death order on both men, for the killing of his brother.

The film has a reported budget of $100 million, so there's most likely lots of high-action car chases and explosions to look forward to.

Oh and if Lowery and Burnett aren't rubbing each other up the wrong way - we're out. Just saying.
