Woman Mocked After Wrongly Answering Incredibly Easy Question On 'The Chase'

Surely everyone knows this?

How great is The Chase? Whoever came up with that concept should win a Nobel Prize or something. It's the perfect quiz show.

It's easy when you're sat at home and you're shouting answers at the telly, you think to yourself: "Hey, I'm pretty good at this. Maybe I should apply."

Woah there. Hold the damn phone. Imagine how much pressure you'd be under with Bradley Walsh stood there staring at you. You can't even get your order at Subway right, how are you going to remember who wrote To Kill A Mockingbird under that much pressure?

I assume this level of brain fart happened to 50-year-old Shauna. She appeared on Friday night's show and caused an uproar when she claimed that the Statue of Liberty is a pale shade of pink.

I can't even defend her and say this was during the cash builder round. This was when she has a little bit more time on the Chase board.

Bradley asked: "The Statue of Liberty is a pale shade of what colour? A: Pink, B: Brown, C: Green?"

Obviously, the answer is 'green' as a result of the copper it's made out of getting old.

As you can see from the above video, Shauna chooses 'A: Pink' - because it's her favourite colour.

The audience audibly laugh in her face. With good reason, I mean... a child could answer that. Sorry, Shauna.

The Governess, aka Anne Hegerty, explained: "It's copper, and when copper goes old, it gets green."

Cue the Twitter grilling:

Don't worry, Shauna. None of us are perfect.

Somehow, she made it to the final Chase, but Anne caught them. Ah well, at least Shauna will be remembered.
