It's been 10 days since the trailer for Avengers: Endgame finally dropped and safe to say people got very excited.

The head of Walt Disney revealed that within a matter of hours it had smashed the record for trailer views, with more than 200 million fans desperate to get a glimpse at the fourth and final installment of the action-packed superhero franchise.

But one person decided to take a different approach to the whole furore surrounding the Marvel blockbuster.

Twitter user @AGuyInChair bought the AvengersEndgame.com domain and instead of giving fans more information about the upcoming film, he had turned it into a redirect to a specially edited Avengers trailer where all the characters had a Deadpool head.

Impressed with the cheeky trick, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds sent the prankster a silver briefcase with headphones and a gin and tonic carry-on cocktail kit inside, which sells for $850 online.

In a tweet the Hollywood actor said: "This isn't to say I'm proud of what you did. Just that I happen to love you."

Despite receiving the surprise gift @AGuyInChair asked if he could swap the precious gift for two tickets to the Avengers premier next year.

He wrote: "Package from @VancityReynolds just arrived! Wow! This thing is beautiful!!! ... And I will trade it immediately for 2 tickets to the #AvengersEndgame premiere! Any takers?"

But he soon saw sense and rather than exchange Reynolds's gift he has decided to hold Marvel Studios ransom.

Now, instead of fans being redirected to a mock-Deadpool advert @AGuyInChair has left a special message for the head of the production company, Kevin Feige.

And as it's that special time of year he's roped in the help of the big man himself, St Nick.

In a video message to the firm's president, Santa says he will relinquish the domain if gives @AGuyInChair two tickets to the premier of Avengers: Endgame, next year.

The keen fan is demanding two tickets to the premier of 'Avengers: Endgame'.

Speaking directly to the movie boss, Father Christmas says: "Ho ho ho, this message is for that naughty boy Kevin Feige, your friend, Guy, wants to trade two websites for two tickets to the Avengers: Endgame premiere. That sounds like a good deal to Santa, email him at [email protected].

"Merry Christmas, ho ho ho."

Who will crack first, Marvel or Santa?
