Some Stuff You Might Have Missed During Bran's Flashbacks On 'Game Of Thrones'

Or maybe you didn't.

A lot happened in Monday's Game of Thrones, you'll no doubt have noticed we've covered it quite a lot. Sorry if we keep reminding you that Hodor is dead, we just won't let your wounds heal.

The mid-season episode has set a lot of events in motion that will make up the majority of the series so there was much to digest, and you may have missed other stuff that occurred in Bran's flashback, the main one regarding the also deceased Three Eyed Raven.

Poor Max Von Sydow met pretty much the same death that greeted him at the start of The Force Awakens.

But in Bran's flashback we were greeted with a face on a weirwood tree that looked almost identical to The Three Eyed Raven...

Look. LOOK!

This was well spotted by Redditor McPlr8 in r/gameofthrones, and it begs the question, does the tree look like the Raven or does the Raven look like the tree?

Well, surely its the first as The Children Of The Forest must have carved his face into the tree, which makes the Raven super old. But we already knew that. And if they carved his face into a tree the Children must have known who he was before, which implies he's been around for just about forever and probably influencing events throughout Westeros.

What's more, the heart trees are seen as holy things in the North, almost like churches. So if the Raven's face is carved into it he must be a very important person? A god perhaps?

But now he's gone and Bran has to fill his shoes even though the Raven said himself, he isn't ready.

This could go one of two ways for poor Bran.
