We've seen plenty of zombie movies over the years, but the majority of them leave audiences freaked out and hiding under their chair.

But The Dead Don't Die looks to be one of the few zombie films that will give us a bit of a chuckle.

It has a killer line up, including Bill Murray (who appeared in Zombieland), Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Chloë Sevigny (American Horror Story), Tilda Swinton (Doctor Strange) singer Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon), and rock icon Iggy Pop.

Yeah, we told you it was an awesome cast.

The official synopsis reads: "In a small peaceful town, zombies suddenly rise to terrorize the town. Now three bespectacled police officers and a strange Scottish morgue expert must band together to defeat the undead."

Murray, Driver and Sevigny will play the three cops and Swinton takes on the role of the quirky Scottish morgue expert who knows her way around a samurai sword.

The trailer shows the movie looks nothing short of hilarious, with the zombies seemingly more intent on doing what they loved doing when they were alive instead of eating people's brains.

You can see some zombies playing tennis, vying for coffee or even a cheeky Chardonnay.

People have been absolutely gagging over the trailer and the cast list on social media.

Bill Murray teased details of the movie last year in a conversation with Philly.com: "Jim Jarmusch has written a zombie script that's so hilarious and it has a cast of great actors: Rosie Perez, Daniel Craig. But, no, I will not play a zombie."

Sadly, it seems as though Craig dropped off the project for unknown reasons.

But if you want to see Murray as a zombie then fear not, the funny man will reportedly be in the Zombieland sequel. According to Geeks WorldWide, both Murray and Dan Aykroyd will appear as fictional versions of themselves.

It'll be a strange twist as Murray's character was seemingly killed by Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) when a prank went south. Who knows, maybe Murray will get revived as an actual zombie in the sequel and Woody Harrelson's character will be forced to kill one of his heroes.

The follow up movie is due to hit cinemas around the world October 11 this year, which will be the 10th anniversary of the original film's release.
