God Of War To Get A New Game Plus Mode
During an intermission in the Sony E3 conference, PlayStation top dog Shawn Layden announced that God of War would be getting a New Game Plus mode.
There's only one bad thing about great games, and that's when they finish. GoW provided fans of the series with a breathtakingly new experience but obviously it had to come to an end.
With this reveal, however, which was confirmed on a PlayStation official blog post, you will be able to guide Kratos back through his enticing story but with most of the upgrades you earned "from the completion of your last main quest, such as armors, pommels, talismans, and more."
Don't worry, this doesn't mean that you will be able to defeat your enemies with one hand behind your back, as "it won't be just a sunny stroll pulverizing Draugr's and Nightmares like your weapons are on auto-pilot, the difficulty will be harder."
No, this doesn't mean you'll be getting new content, but you will be able to experience the game a lot differently than the first time around. You should definitely give it a go if you're not ready to stop playing GoW just yet, and if you want to challenge yourself in a way you didn't think was possible.
The latest instalment in the series managed to sell over three million copies in its first three days on sale, so it's pretty safe to confirm that this won't be the only new content to come.
There's no mention to when this will be released but at least we know it is in development and we will be getting told a lot more when it's nearer the activation date. This is literally on the information on the new mode so keep an eye out to see when it becomes available.
