Cyberpunk 2077 Stops Gamers From Having Sex With Keanu Reeves
You can spend countless man-hours creating an interactive world, chocka with boundless possibilities; but when you hand it over to the people, there's a good chance they'll just use it to bonk Keanu Reeves.
That's exactly what's happened with Cyberpunk 2077 - and now the developers have stepped in.
Basically, a modder (someone who makes game modifications) created a mod which allowed players to essentially swap the skin around on various characters.
Inevitably, people soon started using this mod to transpose Johnny Silverhand - the character modelled on Keanu Reeves - onto a sexbot thing called a 'joytoy'.
And viola, people were having their wicked way with a silver-handed Keanu in a virtual Night City set 56 years in the future... I suppose we're all looking for a bit of escapism at the moment, eh?
But developers, CD Projekt Red, couldn't sit idly by and watch what was unfolding in Night City, so it asked gamers to kindly refrain from banging Keanu.
According to PC Gamer, the developer said in a statement: "Our most important rule regarding user-generated content, game mods in particular, is that it can't be harmful towards others.

"In the case of model swaps, especially those that involve explicit situations, it can be perceived as such by the people who lent us their appearance for the purpose of creating characters in Cyberpunk 2077.
"Therefore, when making fan content, creators have to make sure they've got permission from all the concerned parties (which might be people other than CD PROJEKT RED). For the characters we've invented for the game, we broadly permit you to tweak the game at will and just have fun.
"When it comes to models of real people whom we've asked to participate in the game, we kindly ask you to refrain from using them in any situation that might be found offensive if you don't have their explicit permission."
You got that then people? Unless Keanu has explicitly told you that you can put his character's skin onto a sexrobot and f*ck it, then you shouldn't.
It seems the developer didn't trust the good nature of gamers though, as the mod has now been shut down.
Fear not though, there are still plenty of opportunities within the game to have perfectly legitimate sex as Johnny Silverhand - just not with Johnny Silverhand.
