Dr Disrespect Has Been Mysteriously Banned From Twitch

Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Herschel 'Guy' Beahm IV, had over four million followers and had not long since signed an exclusive multiyear streaming contract with Twitch.

Now he's been banned and apparently it's for good with Twitch even going so far as to contact paid subscribers for refunds.

As yet, Beahm has not formally commented on the ban and the streamer has not posted on his social media accounts for two days, it's currently unclear why the ban has been imposed.

A Twitch spokesperson told LADbible: "As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community."

We have gone to Dr Disrespect for a comment and will update the article if he gets back to us.

This isn't the first time the 38-year-old has been banned from the streaming platform.

This time last year, his account was deactivated after he livestreamed from numerous public bathrooms at E3 in LA.

Following the Twitch ban the ESA, the industry body that organises E3, also revoked his pass for the convention.

As reporters pointed out at the time, filming people in a public bathroom was likely a violation of California's Invasion of Privacy law.

Insider Rod 'Slasher' Breslau claims to know the reason behind Dr Disrespect's ban but doesn't currently feel 'comfortable with it' - leading people to believe this is something serious.

Taking to Twitter, Rod wrote: "For several hours now I have been told from credible sources the reason DrDisrespect has been banned. however due to the importance and sensitivity around the subject I have refrained from going on it. i don't feel comfortable with it currently."
