The first look at FIFA 2021 has been unveiled during EA's June promotional event.

The trailer for the upcoming video game, which will hopefully be playable on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series One X, also included footage of Madden 21 as well.

Both games look hyper-realistic and will likely be the most immersive sports games in history.

EA has confirmed the game will be released on October 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, which means there's only a couple more months left to wait.

Nintendo Switch users will get a 'Legacy Edition' which 'features the latest kits and squad updates for the upcoming season, updated presentation (in-game menus and broadcast overlays), but no new game modes or gameplay innovations'.

While the unveiling of the new game sparked a lot of excitement, there was a pretty mixed reaction from people on social media. Sadly, there was no gameplay featured in the trailer and fans are worried there won't be many advancements from FIFA 20.

One person wrote: "Career mode has barely changed since about FIFA 12, only going backwards. They can't make money out of it so they don't really bother changing it."

Another added: "Let's be real nothing will really change or change like it was intended to."

A third added: "We wanted to see the trailer for 21 but you showed 20 smh."

EA said that this instalment will focus on 'player humanization', which is their way of saying that the players you see on the screen will be as authentic as possible.
