Keanu Reeves Heckled By Audience Member At E3 Video Games Expo

This is wholesome content

Keanu Reeves was the subject of heckling from the crowd at the 2019 E3 games expo in Los Angeles.

However, because this is Keanu Reeves, it wasn't the kind of humiliating insult that you might get if you were - for example - a struggling comedian working your way through a 25th performance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

He's Keanu Reeves, for heaven's sake - he gets treated differently.

The heckler - a video gaming YouTuber called Peter Sark - simply shouted: "You're breathtaking!"

That's not a bad thing to hear, by anyone's standards.

Being the sound guy that he is, Keanu quickly responded: "You're breathtaking. You're all breathtaking."

Wholesome content, if ever it were seen.

Let me explain.

E3 - the Electronic Entertainment Expo for any n00bs out there - is a conference where a load of huge video game companies from around the world get together to announce what they've got planned, check in on what is coming up, and show each other what they can do.

Reeves showed up to announce that he is going to star in the hotly anticipated game from Polish games company CD Projekt Red entitled Cyberpunk 2077.

While talking up the game - well, he would, wouldn't he? - Reeves described it as 'breathtaking'. That's the moment that our hero in the crowd decided that he could contain himself no longer.

Like every good heartwarming tale, the whole crowd began cheering and applauding after the outburst.

Of course, the video games company was in attendance at this event, and decided to thank Sark for his loud intrusion into Reeves' speech, as well as - presumably - to thank him for the positive publicity that it has garnered for their game.

The company in question, CD Projekt Red, has announced that it's going to send the intrepid interrupter a copy of the Collector's Edition of Cyberpunk 2077.

Well, when it comes out, at least.

Speaking of which, if you want to lay your hands on a copy of the game and get your fix of virtual Keanu, it is going to come out on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 on 16 April 2020.

We're not sure exactly what role Keanu will take in the game - from the creators of the hugely successful The Witcher series - but it looks like he might have quite a central one.

Reeves told the E3 audience: "I'm always drawn to fascinating stories."

That suggests that it is going to be more than just a fleeting appearance.

We'll just have to wait and see.
