Lad Travels Worldwide To Catch 'Em All In Pokémon Go

Dedication.

Despite the recent obsession with Pokémon Go and the quest to catch 'em all, there's not really been much dedication to the cause.

I mean, yeah, you might have left your house at midnight because there's a wild Blastoise loitering nearby, but Ash Ketchum dived into the middle of a battle between Mew and Mewtwo - what have you done in comparison?

Nick Johnson is clearly dedicated to being the best, as he's traveled worldwide and caught all 145 available Pokémon.

The 28-year-old, from New York, was recently in Sydney, where he caught the rare Kangaskhan, which was the final catch in his pocket monster collection.

"I'd had it on good authority from a number of local players that it spawns down by there with some frequency," Nick told Mashable Australia. "I grabbed an Uber (the rarer monsters are sometimes only up for a few minutes) to jet over there, but when I got close, there was construction blocking the road. So I got out and sprinted about 5 blocks to the location I'd been given. Luckily it was still there, and I caught it."

Nick is reportedly the first to catch 'em all (without the help of a bot), travelling far and wide to places like France, where he caught Mr Mime, and China, where he caught Farfetch'd.

Given that Nick is now a master of the Pokémon world, he now gives tips for those who want to emulate his success.

Nick's journey began after he caught all 142 Pokémon listed in America's Pokédex.

Next up for Nick is to find the legendary Pokémon, but there's doubts over whether they exist in the game yet.
