People Are Just Noticing The Age Difference Between Mario And Princess Peach

With the way the world is at the moment, people don't have much time to do anything else other than investigate and research.

The latest instalment of said investigations is focussed on the relationship between Super Mario's Mario and Princess Peach.

You probably never realised when you were a young whippersnapper just trying get yourself round the tracks in first place but there's a pretty big age gap between the pair.

In fact, it's recently come to the attention of Twitter users that Mario is 38 years old whereas his love interest, Princess Peach, is just 16.

In a tweet - which is currently going viral - one person dubbed the relationship 'problematic', with screenshots of the couple.

In response someone wrote: "Thats why he always has to say 'its'a me!' - he's legally required to announce himself to his neighbours."

Another added: "Bowser and Mario are actually fighting for control of The Mushroom Kingdom's largest paedophile ring."

A third disregarded the age of Princess Peach, commenting: "No way, Peach is too experienced a driver to only be 16."

Others were quick to turn their attention to other characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose - referring to the possibility that Sonic is 40 while Amy Rose - his self-proclaimed girlfriend - is around 11.

Moving back to Princess Peach and Mario. It turns out they might have only been friends because, according to ScreenRant, Nintendo has never actually stated their relationship status in the main games.

They are called the 'Cutest Couple' in Mario Party 5 though so that seems like enough confirmation for our liking - who were we trying to kid, eh?

However, in a turn of events, if anyone has watched Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen! you will know that Peach already had a boyfriend - the Prince of the Flower Kingdom. Maybe they had a rocky breakup, though. You never know.

It's believed that Mario had feelings for Peach that dated back some time and these emotions motivated him to rescue her from Bowser time and time again. Maybe he's just really fond of her baking seeing as she makes cakes for him enough.
