It's been a week to remember for YouTube star PewDiePie. Firstly he tied the knot with his long-term partner Marzia Bisognin on Tuesday (20 August) and now he's hit over 100 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Yup, the Swedish YouTuber has barely had a chance to finish celebrating saying 'I do' and now he's topped 100 million subs following an intense race with Indian record label and film production company T-Series last year.

As the two channels battled it, fans of PewDiePie - real name Felix Kjellberg - put out a rallying cry online to get people to subscribe.

PewDiePie has hit the 100m mark.

PewDiePie, 29, insisted he 'really didn't care' who won the race to 100m back last year, adding: "Everyone is going on the rant, 'YouTube is not really becoming YouTube' and, 'it's never going to be the same now'.

"I think if YouTube does shift in a way where it does feel more corporate, [then] something else will take its place."

But that didn't stop fans from trying - they went ahead and bought advertising space in newspapers and on the radio as well as billboard space and even hacked Grand Theft Auto V to urge more folks to subscribe.

Despite their hard-work and best efforts, T-Series hit the 100m mark in May this year.

As news of PewDiePie's landmark subscriber number being hit does the rounds online, fellow YouTubers have rushed to congratulate the Swede.

Jacksepticeye (real name Seán William McLoughlin) tweeted: "Felix actually hit 100 million subs. That's absolute madness! No one deserves it more. Consistently humble, incredibly hard working and one of the nicest guys I've met. Massive congrats!!"

As yet, PewDiePie hasn't spoken about the fact he's hit 100m subscribers, so maybe - like he said earlier - he really doesn't care.

Either that or he's having far too much of a good time on his honeymoon with his beautiful new bride.

Sharing snaps for his stunning wedding day, the YouTuber wrote on Twitter: "We are married!!! I'm the happiest I can be. I'm so lucky to share my life with this amazing woman."

His equally delighted wife Marzia wrote on Instagram: "Yesterday, the 19th of August - after exactly 8 years since we met - we celebrated our wedding with our closest friends and family.

"It was the most beautiful day, which I will treasure forever. I am so thankful for all the people that made time to attend the event and helped us celebrate our marriage.

"I feel like I'm the luckiest person and I'm so full of love. Incredibly ecstatic to be able to call Felix my husband for the rest of our lives."

N'aww - congratulations, guys.
