LADS. 2016 IS FINALLY TURNING AROUND.

In what can only be described as the best fucking news I've heard all year, Sega has announced that it is reviving the Mega Drive.

Before you say it, yes. There has been an older version available for some time, but this is an UPDATED, SHIT-HOT, NEW ONE.

This is all down to a huge celebration of the Sonic the Hedgehog game turning 25. Can you believe that?! Sonic is probably settled down and thinking about opening a high-interest savings account around about now. I know that because I am also 25. ISAs are where it's at, people.

Anyway, the pre-loaded games have also had an upgrade with a new extra Sonic title.

The best part of what is already a fucking glorious ice-cream sandwich of happiness is that you won't have to find all of your old games in your parents' loft. Or battle on eBay with SonicLover4eva to get the best deal. The Sega comes pre-loaded with 80 games.

AND THE CONTROLLERS ARE WIRELESS.

I just can't handle all this good news.

But there's two more bits of happiness I have to share with you before I pass out. Firstly, it'll cost you a measly £49.99, which is incredible in itself, and, secondly, there's a BRAND NEW portable version coming out (also with 80 games and £49.99) so train journeys will no longer be a battle against your phone battery.

You can pre-order here for the launch in October. But not before me.
