Sales Of 'Red Dead Redemption' Gone Up Six Thousand Percent Since Recent Announcement

Off the charts!

Just yesterday I wrote that Red Dead Redemption was one of Rockstar's greatest and often overlooked games. That comment was in response to the developer announcing that the game would be backwards compatible from Friday (July 8th.) Since that announcement was made, sales of the game have increased by over 6000 percent, so it's not that overlooked after all.

Amazon (via GamesRadar) has proof of this.

Sales are up an eye-watering 6329 percent on the Xbox 360 version as it will only be backwards compatible on the Xbox One (as of yet.) Amazon's number two game is the Game of the Year edition, which includes the Undead Nightmare expansion, which is essentially Cowboys vs Zombies.

Sounds good, right? Not played it? Well go and buy it as now is the perfect time.

If you can't be bothered waiting for Amazon to deliver the game, you can just download it off the Xbox Live store for just over £8. This is a great idea because it costs around £11 on Amazon.
