Lukas, 23 from Liverpool is now a world record holder. His stream on the 13th of April meant that he had streamed over 1,000 hours of poker on Twitch in just 100 days. It's safe to say it's been a rollercoaster challenge for the Liverpudlian including some huge wins, bad beats and a sponsorship with GGPoker.

In 2018, Arlie Shaban streamed a record 1,000 hours of poker in just 125 days. Lukas has now gone one better and streamed 1,000 hours of poker in just 100 days which averaged out at an incredible 10 hours of poker a day. In that time, Lukas made a profit of $23,850.

The challenge started on the 4th of January, just weeks after Lukas decided to quit his mum and dad's fish and chip shop to stream full-time.

Lukas went viral on Day 20 of the challenge when he landed his biggest ever win, pocketing a huge $3,700. However, this personal best only lasted until Day 98 of the challenge due to him finishing fourth in the SCOOP $225k Guaranteed tournament which meant he earned himself a massive $22,000 in front of over 2,500 viewers.

It's been a grueling schedule for Lukas, which has required an incredible amount of dedication as the new record holder followed a strict regime in order to complete the challenge.

"I have worked out every day before each stream, I find now if I don't do a gym or boxing workout as soon as I wake up, I never feel fully awake and don't feel good throughout that specific day.

Upswings and downswings are a very normal thing with playing poker full time, but being on a downswing (being down money) is something you don't realise how hard it is, until you experience yourself"

I honestly can't believe how perfect this challenge has gone. I still feel amazing physically. The poker results have been positive. I have gained over 5000 twitch followers. 500 Twitch subs. Twitch Partner. BBZ sponsorship and coaching. And a sponsorship with GGPoker and LADbible. This is something that I could never even have dreamt about before the challenge.

Lukas' family have also been a major part of his challenge, supporting him all the way:

"My family has been amazing in making a lot of my meals to help me during this challenge and going to the shops to get all this food, as I don't have any days off to be able to do this. As the challenge has gone on, it has definitely been harder and harder for me to prep meals after each stream, so the help from my family has increased.

During the challenge, Lukas repaid his mum's support by buying her a brand new car for her birthday with the winnings he has made from poker.

Lukas will now be taking a well-earned two weeks off to refresh before returning to his Twitch with special guests, more appearances in the LADbible Poker £20k guaranteed tournaments and crazy poker formats including poker bingo!
