The trailer for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has just dropped. You can watch it here:

The remastered edition of the much-loved game franchise drops on 11 November.

Hello nostalgia.

The games have all been updated for 'a new generation' and will feature across the board enhancements including new lighting and environmental upgrades, with high-resolution textures, increased draw distances as well as Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting.

If you're not familiar, here's a breakdown of each title. First up is Grand Theft Auto III which starts in Liberty City. With the freedom to go anywhere, the ruthless world of crime is at your fingertips.

Next up is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City which will take gamers back to the 80s - with that will come the story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile.

Tommy Vercetti's tale of betrayal and revenge will unfold in a neon-soaked tropical town full of excess and brimming with possibilities.

Finally there's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas which is set in the early 90s and features Carl 'CJ' Johnson who is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

Fans are clearly excited by the news with one taking to social media, writing: "Just take my money now... Why does this company have to be so legendary!"

Another else added: "I'd honestly re-buy for the updated mechanics & GTA 5 controls. Graphics are obviously better. I hope Rockstar is holding back on some details yet & there is a more compelling reason to invest."

Others weren't too impressed, with someone else explaining: "Not gonna lie kinda thought they'd do a better job since everyone's wanted it for so long. Pretty sure even mafia remake was better."

In agreement a fourth commented: "How about new content? We already bought these games once before tired of buying refurbished games! Get it together Rockstar! Who cares who you offend, your true fans want GTA 6."
