The film received broadly positive reviews, hitting 82% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, with a 86% user score.

The film featured Deadpool joined by a team of rag-tag good guys including Domino; a girl imbued with the powers to manipulate probability, Cable; played by Josh Brolin, who starts off as a villain before coming around to Deadpool's divisive nature, Colossus; the huge metal mutant from the first film, Nega Sonic Teenage Warhead; again, reprising a role from the first film, Warhead ended as a fan favourite.

The film features a lot of fun twists and surprises, with the post credit scene well worth checking out if you haven't managed to check them out yet - with the predictable meta wackiness enhanced by the movies use of time travel to see some fun cameos that are sure to make viewers keep laughing till the movies closing moments.

Even before the film reaches its climax it features a whole host of hilarious and intriguing cameos that mean something for the future of the Deadpool and X-Men franchises.

The next time we are set to see the Merc with a Mouth on the big screen will be back with the team he put together on this release - X Force - rather than a Deadpool 3 solo film.
