Logan Paul Shares Shocking Video Of When His Parachute Failed To Open
Controversial YouTuber Logan Paul has shared some terrifying footage of the moment that his parachute failed to open while he was skydiving.
Ok, so he's not exactly Mr Popularity after his stunt in Japan's Aokigahara Forest where he basically mocked some poor guy who had taken his own life. However, no matter how unpopular the incident sees to have made him, surely no one would wish for the vlogger to fall to his death in a freak parachuting accident.
In his latest post, entitled 'The Day I Should Have Died... (Skydiving Accident)' he discusses his seventh - and very nearly his last - skydiving trip when he was forced to cut loose his first parachute after it failed to open properly, and his race against time to get his back-up chute to open before he got too close to the floor.
Don't bother watching the video if you're really afraid of heights, or planning a skydive any time soon, because the footage is pretty damn scary - even if you do have to suffer through five or six minutes of Logan arsing about before you get to it.
He tells the story back in front of his dad, who had never heard the details before, and also talks to some of the skydive centre employees who were there.
One of the managers of the skydiving centre says: "First off, I gotta say that you spoke this into existence.
"So we're doing the emergency procedures, casually, nothing different. [Logan] starts letting his imagination loose the wrong way... Logan says, 'Yo, I feel like a lot of crazy stuff has been happening to me, this could go wrong.'"
The jump was Logan's first on his own without an instructor, and his seventh overall.
He explained how unlucky he was for this to happen to him: "This was my first time jumping alone, this is my seventh jump. My instructor has jumped 2,000 times - she has had to cut away [her parachute] like twice."
He continued: "Your main parachute takes three to six seconds to open. I go to pull the rip cord, and it gets stuck in this little square shape. About four seconds later, it still hasn't opened."
Horrifying stuff, right? Luckily for Logan the emergency chute opened and he was able to land safely on the ground.
Thankfully the near-death experience has given Logan a new purpose and meaning to his life. We can expect to see a different and more meaningful Logan Paul in the future.
In other news, the video also sees him cutting himself while messing around with a knife, smashing plates for no reason, and throwing a load of milk out of a window onto a trampoline.
What a transformation.
