Jake Paul Warned 'Crazy' Clause Could Backfire In Fight Against Tyron Woodley
| Last updated
Jake Paul's sparring partner has said one of the clauses in the YouTuber's agreement for his upcoming fight could backfire because it's like 'dangling a carrot' in front of Tyron Woodley.
The 24-year-old has offered his opponent - who he will be fighting after his clash with Tommy Fury went to pot - $500,000 (£375,000) extra to knock him out.
Now Jake Bostwick, Paul's sparring partner spoke to Betway US blog and said: "Jake is offering Tyron a $500,000 bonus to knock him out, that’s a crazy clause.
"He could be dangling that carrot in front of Tyron to get him to come out recklessly and that also adds pressure on Tyron.
"If Tyron comes out swinging he could get caught and we know Jake has power, don’t sleep on Jake’s power. I think Woodley will come out with a fire under his a** and try to bang but he’s got to be smart."
He went on to add: "It will be a different kind of fight this time with Woodley taking this fight on short notice.
"Jake will be more aggressive this time, his boxing is going to be better this time, and he will have his range on point.
"But if Tyron turns up and puts the pressure on it could be a better night for Tyron. Jake learned from the last fight not to stand in front of him.
"Jake will counter and put his punches together, and will be firing on all cylinders. You’ll see a way better Jake this time. Jake wins by stoppage."
Bostwick seems pretty confident in Paul's abilities, which might have something to do with the fact that he busted the bare knuckle boxers lip during a brutal sparring sesh.
Speaking about the incident in a chat with Cene Magazine, Bostwick explained how he was asked to train with the YouTuber because he needed more sparring partners.
He went on to say: "So I was down for it, but the guy said ‘Listen, the guy can box, please don’t think he can’t’. And this was coming from a professional coach, a guy I know."
Bostwick added: "We did three solid rounds and he caught me with some shots! He hit me with an uppercut and detached my top lip! He caught me with some s***! I was like ‘What the f***?'"
Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will battle it out once again at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on 18 December - the same date Paul and Fury were set to fight.
