Jake Paul's Girlfriend Responds To John Fury's Comments At Press Conference

Jake Paul's Girlfriend Responds To John Fury's Comments At Press Conference

John Fury made an unexpectedly x-rated swipe at Julia Rose at the press conference for the now-cancelled Fury vs Paul fight

Jake Paul’s girlfriend Julia Rose has responded to crude comments recently made about her by John Fury, saying it’s more reflective on his character than hers.

Paul was due to face Tommy Fury in Florida tomorrow (18 December), but the British star was forced to withdraw due to a broken rib and a chest infection.

Before the fight was cancelled, the two squared up to one another in a press conference, with Paul joining remotely via video link.

Also present was Fury’s father, John, who shocked those watching when he made an unexpectedly x-rated swipe at Julia Rose.

He told Paul: "When Tommy beats you he is going to get your girlfriend and do her like a dog in front of you.

"If you don't like it change the television channel. You are the idiot for taking this fight and you are getting it you bum. Enjoy the moment p****. Dream on d***head."

Julia Rose has since responded to the comments, claiming she and boyfriend Paul simply laughed it off.

Speaking to Boxing Social, she said: "At the end of day I think it says more about him than it does about me.

"If you are willing to say that about someone's girlfriend it shows your character not really mine.

"But I'm fine with it, me and Jake made a couple of TikTok videos to have a laugh with it, but other than it does not affect me at all."

The Fury vs Paul scrap was cancelled at the beginning of this month, with promoter Frank Warren admitting previously that 22-year-old Fury had been suffering from a cold during his preparations.

He told iFL TV: "Tommy had a little bit of a cold but hopefully he is going to be okay.

"We are up in Morecambe [on Wednesday] so hopefully we will know more then, but he is up for it and he wants to fight.

"He can't wait for the fight and I know certainly from Jake's perspective he can't wait for the fight."

Paul will now be taking on Tyron Woodley this weekend in a rematch, having said a clash with Fury probably won’t materialise.

According to TalkSport, he said: “I don’t think a fight between us will ever happen.

“I don’t want to ever give him the opportunity. He had his shot.

“I’d like to see him fight 20 more times to even get the same payday that he would have got against me.

“Sorry, Tommy. It isn’t going to happen.”
