Applications Are Now Open For The Amazing Race Australia 2022

Applications have opened for the 2022 season of The Amazing Race Australia.

Loads of people reckon they would be perfect for the show, which requires contestants to race across the globe while completing challenges, solving riddles and criss-crossing cities in all types of transport.

They have to have their thinking caps on the whole time as well as be physically fit in order to get through all the hurdles.

The last season of The Amazing Race Australia was filmed within the confines of the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, now that international travel is on the cards again for fully vaccinated people, it looks like the show will be back to its old tricks of sending contestants to far corners of the globe.

The application page reads: "Be part of an incredible opportunity to travel around the world on the adventure of a lifetime with your favourite person.

"Win a huge cash prize - casting is only open for a matter of weeks and shortlisting has begun so apply now!"

To be a part of the upcoming season, you have to be over the age of 18, have received two doses of an approved coronavirus vaccine, be available for filming from February next year, and have someone you can compete with.

Whether you're best mates, colleagues, in a relationship or just two people who reckon they would be fun to watch on the telly, it doesn't matter as long as you're a team of two.

As long as you can grab the attention of the casting agents then you've got a shot at being on the show.

Host Beau Ryan previously said about the show: "The experience will change you and your teammate's life forever. If you're looking to travel off the beaten path, all while having a crack at the massive prize, then give it a shot."

The show will require four weeks of filming, which could get extended to seven weeks if you make it all the way to the end.

The producers haven't revealed how much the grand prize will be for the 2022 season, however last year's was a hefty $250,000, which is not too bad in the slightest.

The only thing you will really need to overcome is the application process. In a word, it's extensive.
