Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they wear a high-vis like Victorian tradie Seamus Murphy - who just completed his epic mission to eat a KFC Zinger Box every day for 100 days straight.

In what has basically become the Down Under version of Supersize Me, Murphy vowed to take on the challenge of smashing a daily KFC Zinger Box.

The box comes with a Zinger burger, three Wicked Wings, a regular chips, a portion of potato and gravy and a soft drink.

Today (December 1), he completed the challenge, which he has been regularly documenting on his TikTok and Instagram accounts.

But it's not just a competition to satisfy his love for fried chicken. The carpenter from Philip Island kicked off the challenge to raise awareness and money for Movember, after joining up with a friend who was doing the Mullets for Mental Health challenge to raise money for the Black Dog Institute.

Speaking to 7News last month, Murphy said: "It started off as a couple of Zingers. I did it on Snapchat, just with my mates.

"I did one on Instagram and then a couple of friends were like, 'You've got to get it in Tiktok'. Regardless, I was happy to have a couple of the boys have a laugh, or what not.

"But it's taken off a little bit - a bit more than I expected, but that's alright."

Murphy added that it was a cause close to his heart, saying he had lost several mates to their struggles with mental health.

"It's really important to let blokes know there is support," he said. "I thought it's really important to let blokes know there is support out there. It could be one bloke who sends one message which could really help.

"You can come to your mates. They won't think less of you. If you do come forward with these issues, people will respect you more.

"They sort of as see you as a closer friend, if you talk about these things."

The average adult needs 8,700 kilojoules per day but a Zinger Box is 4,865 kilojoules, which is more than half of the daily intake - though Murphy said he wasn't worried about suffering any health issues from the challenge.

"I'm not worried. The Zinger Box is only the really bad meal I eat throughout the day," he told the publication.

"I have like a keto diet at home. Last night I had salmon and steamed veggies.

"It's not like I'm eating absolute garbage 24/7."
