Retailers will sometimes try to offer an incentive to buy a new product.
Whether it's buy one, get one free, a chance to meet the producer, or maybe an offering of a new car if you fill out a card with 25 words or less about why you simply love lettuce, there are loads of ways to get more customers.
But Robinsons Bookstore has decided to give people what they really want.
They're giving this for free when you buy Jimmy Barnes' book at Robinsons Bookshop (Canberra). Thought it was hilarious. Oh, the clock screams. from r/australia
If you popped into one of their many stores across Australia and want to buy Jimmy Barnes' new book, you'll walk away with a free Barnsey alarm clock or t-shirt.

Their website states: "Customers buying books written by Jimmy Barnes at Robinsons Bookshop this holiday season will also receive their choice of a free alarm clock or t-shirt with their purchase, themed towards Jimmy's latest book release Killing Time.
"Give that special someone something a little extra this Christmas, and help celebrate this Australian rock legend with fun and exciting Jimmy Barnes merchandise to go along with your brand new book!"
The best part about this legendary offering: the alarm clock actually contains Jimmy Barnes' iconic scream as the alarm sound. You can click here to hear it in action.
Who the hell wouldn't want an Australian singing icon screaming at you as you greet the day?

After one lucky shopper debuted it on Reddit, people have been well and truly blown away.
One person wrote: "Well I know which book is going to be well represented in next year's Lifeline Book Fairs."
Another added: "I have never wanted something more in my entire life."
However it seems like not everyone was on board with this epic piece of machinery.

A Reddit user replied, saying: "I'm from Australia and if that s**t went off in my house I would throw it against a brick wall. Not all Aussies love his music. Makes the ears bleed."
If you didn't pick up the book but still want the clock then you can absolutely still do that. Jimmy Barnes' website is selling the bad boys for $45 each. You can thank us later.
