Brad Pitt Turned To Alcoholics Anonymous After Angelina Jolie Split
It wasn't long ago that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were the go-to couple on the red carpet, however they filed for divorce three years ago. Despite still being legally married, the couple have chosen to 'bifurcate' their marriage, so they have single status while the proceedings continue.
It can't be easy juggling an acting career with parenting. The couple apparently have a co-parenting schedule which means that their children spend part of the summer in New Mexico where Angelina is filming a movie, and LA where Brad lives.
The divorce has understandably taking its toll on the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor, as he's opened up about his time spent in Alcoholics Anonymous, which he reportedly attended for 19 months after he separated from Jolie.
Pitt told the New York Times: "I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges.
"You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgement, and therefore little judgement of yourself.'
He went on: "It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself.
"The fact is, we all carry pain, grief and loss. We spend most of our time hiding it, but it's there, it's in you. So you open up those boxes."
Fair play to Brad for getting the help he needed.
Recently, it was noticed that Pitt has a habit of eating during scenes in his films. A Redditor by the name of u/LundgrensFrontKick spent some time working out whether his eating habits directly affected the quality of the films he was in.
He said: "I am not implying direct correlation equals causation. I'm just presenting random data in hopes of making a few people chuckle. Hopefully this data won't be too much to digest."
"I decided to do a rewatch of his movies to put together a master list of all the food, and see if any cool statistics popped out."
And it turned out that some pretty cool stats did pop out.
