Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have been celebrated by fans all over the world after getting engaged.

While their social media announcement was met with loads of congratulatory messages, there were a few users who were warning the pop star.

Actor Octavia Spencer was one of many who urged the 'Circus' singer to get Sam to sign a prenuptial agreement in case their marriage falls apart.

Prenups are a contractual agreement between two spouses that prevents one from trying to claim half of the other person's wealth or assets in the event of a divorce or separation.

Considering Britney Spears is worth around £50 million, it's not hard to see why some people are begging her to get a prenup done with her personal trainer fiancé.

Sam has opened up about the prenup comments and explained they are doing just that.

"Thank you to everyone who is concerned about the prenup!" he wrote on an Instagram story.

"Of course we're getting [an] iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day."

He attached two laughing emojis to the end of the statement, meaning he could be joking about organising a prenup or just laughing about the scenario of him getting Britney to sign one to protect his assets.

They posted separate pictures and videos yesterday (September 13) of them showing off Britney's new engagement ring. The pop star said she 'couldn't f**king believe it'.

The two met on the set of the music video for 'Slumber Party' in October 2016 and have been inseparable ever since.

Sam has staunchly defended Britney during her conservatorship battle and even issued a brutal statement against her father Jamie Spears.

He said: "Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.

"In my opinion, Jamie is a total d**k. I won't be going into details because I've always respected our privacy but at the same time, I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom."

Britney opened up about her desire to expand her family with Sam during testimony she gave at a conservatorship hearing.

She told the court: "I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told with the conservatorship I was not able to get married and have a baby.

"I have an IUD in my body right now that won't let me have a baby and my conservators won't let me go to the doctor to take it out."
