Britney Spears Proves She Really Can Sing And Promises To Release A New Song Soon
Britney Spears has showed off the talent that has made her a household name around the world.
The pop star stood in front of her bathroom mirror and busted out a load of vocal notes to prove that she really does have a good voice.
She chucked in a few lyrics during the ballad of notes and even teased that she's on the verge of releasing new music.
But what could have prompted the 40-year-old to stand in her bathroom and belt out some tunes?
She explained in the caption of her Instagram video that she needed to remind herself that she is a goddamn icon and she didn't get that title without a good voice.
"I just realized this today guys ... after what my family tried to do to me three years ago ... I needed to be my own cheerleader," she said. "God knows they weren't ...so I just read up on my self and this is what I found."
She recalled her stats that said she is a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop icon, who is 'one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history with nearly 100 million records sold worldwide'. Not a bad claim to fame.
Britney added: "I'm not auditioning for anything !!!! I'm reminding myself and the world of who I am !!!!
"Yes ... I will be my own cheerleader ... why ???? I'm here to remind my white 'classy' family that I haven't forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget !!!!
"Pssss new song in the works ... I'm gonna let you know what I mean."
While the pop star has been honest about lip syncing during her live performances, it's clear that many people have forgotten she can actually sing.
People flocked to the comments section of the Instagram video to praise Britney for proving the haters wrong.
One person said: "OMG SLAY ME WITH THAT VOCALS WHITNEY SPEARS."
Another added: "Ok Britney!!!!! I'm excited to hear your music with you truly as the captain. I know you have phenomenal taste and abilities far outside what people assume about you."
A third asserted: "ADELE COULD NEVER."
Britney said she might not ever release music again if she was kept in her conservatorship controlled by her father.
However, now that she's free she might be heading back to the studio to give the fans something they've been dying to hear for years.
