Caitlyn Jenner Promises To Cancel 'Cancel Culture' If She's Elected Governor

She hasn't outlined how she'll achieve that plan.

Caitlyn Jenner has outlined one of her first major projects if she gets elected as Governor of California.

The Olympian and former reality TV star announced her plan to get into politics earlier this year and it's been a rocky road ever since.

But the 71-year-old is keen on attacking progressivism.

In a statement on Twitter, Caitlyn wrote: "When elected Governor of California, I will CANCEL, cancel culture and wake up the woke."

Loads of celebrities have rallied against the concept of 'cancel culture', which is when the general public turns away from a person, place or thing that they no longer agree with due to a revelation, statement or claim.

Plenty of comedians and entertainers have recently spoken out about the idea and believe it's stifling comedy and causing writers to not take risks anymore in TV shows and movies.

Woke is the term often used by people on the right and given to progressive people who they believe are too open-minded. It leans itself to the notion that being 'woke' means you're awake aka aware of the injustices and issues that are plaguing society.

How Caitlyn plans on cancelling 'cancel culture' or make 'woke' people aware of the real issues is anyone's guess.

It's not like you could legislate against either of those things but, hey, it's the United States of America, so we can't rule anything out.

Ms Jenner believes she'll be a strong candidate for the hotly contested Governorship of California.

Current Democratic Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, is facing a recall vote after voters were angry with the measures implemented to protect people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an interview with CNN, Caitlyn believes her background in *checks notes* being an entrepreneur has prepared her for the role of running a massive state.

"I have been in the entrepreneurial world. People think - you've been in show business, think of you as a reality star. Certainly, I've done that, but entertainment is a business, and you have to run that business," she said.

Since announcing her bid to lead California, she's come under fire for stating her belief that transgender girls shouldn't be allowed to play in girl teams at school sports.

She was also slammed for complaining that all her famous friends are leaving California because of the number of homeless people.

Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News, Caitlyn said: "'Business are leaving left and right, 18,000 companies have left California. My friends are leaving California.

"My hangar, the guy right across, he was packing up his hangar and I said, 'Where are you going?' And he says, 'I'm moving to Sedona, Arizona, I can't take it anymore. I can't walk down the streets and seeing the homeless'."
