Carole Baskin's time on the American version of Dancing With The Stars is over.

The Big Cat Rescue founder dazzled the crowd during her debut as she danced to 'Eye of the Tiger' - which is probably the most fitting song for the star.

But then she followed her first performance up with a dance to 'Circle of Life' from The Lion King (spotting a theme here). While the animal activist looked like she was having a fun time on the stage, she knew she was going to be in trouble with the American public.

Before the results of the elimination were released, Baskin said: "Dancing is extremely hard for me, and I need all your votes I could possibly get."

The votes put the Big Cat Rescue founder in the bottom two with Pyscho actor Anne Heche. Judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Anne over Baskin and Carole had to bid farewell to the show.

While it wasn't ideal bowing out so early, the Tiger King star admitted that she isn't the best dancer and said she had a brilliant time on the programme.

Speaking to Extra, Carole said: "This did everything and more than I ever could've asked for... I am thrilled that all of this has happened, and I don't have to learn another dance.

"I'm sorry - I just can't dance!"

When asked what she wanted to do when she returned home, Carole knew her exact plans.

"Get in the jacuzzi with my husband," she said.

"We used to do that every night, and we haven't been able to do it since... the end of August, so I am ready for that jacuzzi."

While Baskin has worn a smile during the two weeks in the competition, her debut was rocked by her ex-husband's family.

The family of Don Lewis and his attorney bought a near-minute ad slot on the first episode of Dancing With The Stars and pleaded for information about his whereabouts.

Don disappeared in 1997 and there have been many theories as to what happened to him.

His daughters Gale, Lynda and Donna, his former assistant, Anne McQueen, and family attorney John Phillips thought it would be a good time to plead for information on his whereabouts.

They talked about how they miss their dad and just want to know what happened to him.

Phillips says the family deserve justice and called for tips on 'who did this, or whether Carole Baskin was involved'.

Lewis' family has posted a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to his whereabouts or what happened to him.
