Charlie Cox Gives Amazing Answer Over What He'd Do If Someone Else Was Cast As Daredevil

Charlie Cox has given a hilariously honest answer about what he would do if someone was ever cast as Daredevil in the future.

Fans absolutely loved the British actor's portrayal of the lawyer by day and crime fighter by night and the thought of someone else taking on that role would horrify many.

During an interview with The Pop Culture Spotlight on SiriusXM he had the perfect response to what would happen if another actor nabbed the Matt Murdock/Daredevil role.

"I would go down into my basement. I would find my Daredevil mask [and then] hunt them down. I'd make them fight me for it," he said.

That would actually be fantastic (not that we're advocating for violence).

Ever since the Daredevil series was cancelled, people have been begging for it to return.

Charlie had to play down speculation that he would be in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home film because fans swear the thought he was in the trailer.

Despite the massive fan movement to get him back in the red superhero suit, Charlie seems to be a bit more apprehensive about a reboot or a revival.

He told the radio host: "You've got to be careful what you wish for. You come back and it's not as good or it doesn't quite work or... too much time has passed, it doesn't quite come together in the same way.

"You don't want to taint what you've already got. If we never come back, you've got these three great seasons - and our third season was our best-reviewed. So, the trajectory was up.

"I am tremendously proud and grateful for what we have."

He didn't completely rule out something coming in the future, however he said that it would have to be perfect to get the whole team together again.

"If there was an opportunity for me to come back as Daredevil, whatever that would look like, I imagine it would be a reimagining of the character and the show," he said.

"If they choose me to do it, there are going to be some elements that are, of course, the same. Or they might choose someone else and reboot it all over again."

Marvel hasn't announced any plans about future projects involving Cox or even the character of Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

The TV show was cancelled November 2018 before Netflix announced it was also dumping Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Punisher.
