A close friend claims Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are dating.

The confidante told Closer they only got together recently and things are moving well so far.

"After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they'd always had to bury was still there," the source said.

"They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in L.A.

"They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen's favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them."

They've been spending a lot of 'quality time' together and are excited to see where it goes.

The news of their alleged relationship has understandably sent fans into meltdown.

While everyone was caught up in their on-screen relationship on Friends, the two actors recently revealed they had some off-screen chemistry too.

During the HBO reunion, Aniston and Schwimmer opened up about how they were never in the right space to turn their feelings into a proper relationship.

David, who played Ross Geller on the show, said: "At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary. We respected that."

Jennifer, who played Rachel Greene, added: "We just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."

Neither star has yet confirmed the rumour and, as with some Hollywood romances, we'll never know until they release a statement or just post a picture on Instagram and make it social media official.

But it's clear many people desperately want it to be a thing.
