Cyberpunk 2077 gamers were told that it was going to have a fairly in-depth character customisation section, and sure enough the developers let you customise everything from hair colour and style to how big you want the character's genitals to be.

Some gamers have been thoroughly enjoying this part of the game so much that they've produced characters who can only be described as works of art.

Take this guy, for instance - he turned V into 'Handsome Squidward', the chiselled incarnation of a character who appeared in one episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Sadly though, It's also worth noting that this wasn't actually achieved via the in-game character creator, and is another piece of PhotoShop trickery using a previous render from artist Miguel Vasquez - note the 'Squidward ON' option to the side of the image.

Still, it's worth bringing up because of how truly horrible it is, no? That pout. The jawline. The cheekbones you could cut yourself on. Those piercing eyes. Terrifying and alluring in equal measure. What?

Of course the existence of this Cyberpunk 2077 Squidward also suggests he's out in Night City using whatever genitals were chosen for him to get involved with many of the game's raunchy sex scenes. That's happening. That thought is now in your head.

The developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 have apologised for how the game is running on last-generation consoles.

People have been flooding social media with images of terrible graphics and huge glitches, with many gamers wanting to get a refund.

CDPR wrote in a statement: "First of all, we would like to start by apologising for not showing you the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase.

"We should have paid more attention to making it run better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One."

The developer pledged to fix bugs and crashes and 'improve the overall experience', with the next round of updates coming in the next week.

After that, CDPR will release updates and fixes as soon as they're ready, with two major patches dropping in January and February.

CDPR stressed that these updates won't make the game look like it's running on a high-end PC or next-gen console, but believe that they should greatly improve the experience and the visuals by a noticeable amount.
