Rapper Dan Sur has claimed he's the first person on the planet to have gold chains for 'hair', which he says hang from hooks surgically implanted in his head. Check them out below:

The reggaeton rapper and producer has been showing off his bizarre new headpiece to his near two million followers on social media.

MTO News reports the artist installed loads of hooks all over his noggin so that he could attach the chains.

Apparently he wanted to look like he had come 'straight out of a jewellery store'.

"The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. I hope not everyone copies me now," he said in one of his videos.

"I have it as a hook that is implanted in my head and that hook has hooks and they are all hooked in my skull, under my skin.

"This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have gold hair implanted in human history."

Caracol TV reports the rapper underwent the surgery in April earlier this year.

Boasting about the new hair has seemingly done wonders for the artist as his following has shot up from 12,000 before the operation to 1.9 million on TikTok and tens of thousands more on Instagram.

Dan now racks up millions of views on his TikTok videos, which usually consist of his music clips, footage of him recording new music, playing in the backyard or responding to questions from his fans.

The artist isn't the only person getting bling attached to their bodies.

Lil Uzi Vert went viral earlier this year when he revealed he had spent millions of dollars to acquire a pink diamond.

The rapper got it surgically implanted onto his forehead, however he nearly lost it forever during a recent appearance at a music festival.

Lil Uzi claims he jumped into the crowd at last month's Rolling Loud festival in Miami, and the diamond - which he claims to have bought for $24 million (£17.3m) - was dislodged from his head.

When asked how he was feeling, Uzi told TMZ: "I still have the diamond, so I feel good."

Since Uzi had the unique piercing done, fans have understandably wondered how safe it is to have such a large and complex piercing so near the brain.

But speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this year, Simon Babaev, a spokesperson for Eliantte & Co - the jewellers behind the implant - said that actually, it's as 'safe as any other piercing'.
