It will be released into cinemas on June 17, 2022 and Buzz will be voiced by Chris Evans.

Tim Allen officially hung up the boots for the character after the fourth film in the series and it looks like Disney has tapped Captain America to take over.

Evans clarified what the movie will be about in a Tweet, saying: "Just to be clear, this isn't Buzz Lightyear the toy. This is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on."
