Emily In Paris Creator Is Already Looking At Doing A Second Season

Emily In Paris Creator Is Already Looking At Doing A Second Season

It's only been a few days since Emily in Paris dropped on Netflix and it has certainly taken the world by storm.

Parisians aren't exactly the biggest fans of the series however their issues might have to be put on hold if the show's creator gets his way.

Darren Star told Oprah Magazine that they've started planning for another instalment.

"In season 2, [Emily's] going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she's living in. She'll be more of a resident of the city," he said. "She'll have her feet on the ground a little more. She's making a life there."

Netflix hasn't made any announcements about the future of the show, but Darren seems sure it will get renewed for another slice.

Considering season one ends on a pretty juicy cliffhanger, it seems inevitable that we will be seeing a lot more of Emily.

The programme focuses on Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), a young marketing executive from Chicago, who moves the French capital for an exciting job opportunity when her company acquires a French luxury marketing firm.

Netflix Has Renewed Emily In Paris For A Second Season

published at21 days ago

The show hasn't gone down well with Parisians, who took exception to the way their city was portrayed.

According to the New York Times, French radio station RTL wrote: "Between the beret, the cocktail dresses, and the impeccable streets, Parisians had a hard time recognising their everyday life."

Viewers also found the plot hard to believe that a 20-something woman with a double-digit follower count could be recruited to lead a social media team and suddenly get thousands of loyal supporters.

Whatever the case, it's very popular with other people and we could be seeing more of Emily soaking up Paris in no time.
