First Trailer For Sonic 2 Debuts Knuckles And Tails

The first trailer for the Sonic sequel is here and there are some old and new faces.

We get to see the titular character back in action alongside actor James Marsden and his nemesis Doctor Robotnik, however the lightning fast hedgehog gets introduced to a friend and a foe for this new instalment.

Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey) comes to help him avoid a bunch of missiles while they're flying a plane and Sonic comes up against a new enemy in the form of Knuckles.

Idris Elba's character shows he packs a serious punch and can even hold off Sonic when he's in his super fast tumble mode.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a sequel to the 2020 original - which was a box office hit shortly before the pandemic struck, grossing $320 million (£231 million) worldwide.
