It's here: the first look at Sacha Baron Cohen reprising his iconic role as Borat Sagdiyev.

Amazon Prime has been kind enough to supply the world with the first trailer for the sequel to Borat and it looks like an absolute cackle.

The streaming service has also revealed that the movie will land on October 23.

Judging from the trailer, it appears our favourite Kazakh has developed a huge celebrity status following the first film that was released in 2006. As a result, he flies back to America and tries to put on a bunch of disguises to fool even the biggest of fans.

He also brings his daughter to the US and tries to set her up with a willing husband.

The film also appears to be incredibly up to date, with one scene showing Borat talk with two Trump supporters about what is worse: the coronavirus or the Democrats. (Spoiler alert: they went with the latter).

But the peak of the trailer comes right at the end when Cohen/Borat dresses up as Donald Trump at a convention where Vice President Mike Pence is speaking and bursts through the door with a woman over his shoulder.

It's been reported that Sacha Baron Cohen had to wear bullet proof vests on numerous occasions while filming the sequel, as there were concerns for his safety.

This comes after reports claimed the creators of the movie wanted to get it out ahead of the upcoming presidential election in the US in order to reach younger voters.

It's understood that US President Donald Trump and deceased paedophile Jeffrey Epstein will be targeted in the film.

In August, 48-year-old Cohen was spotted filming in Los Angeles in full Borat garb, leading many to think Borat was making a comeback.

A clip shared on social media appeared to show the actor and comedian wearing a grey-coloured suit and sporting his instantly recognisable moustache while in a yellow pick-up truck in Long Beach.
