Greggs Will Release The Festive Bake On 7 November

Forget the presents, seeing the family and all that cheer nonsense - the best part of Christmas has always been the Greggs Festive Bake. If you've never had one before, then you need to get one in your mouth ASAP. Trust me. Pieces of chicken breast, sage and onion stuffing and bacon mixed in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce wrapped in a light, yet flaky pastry and topped with a tasty crumb topping. What more could you possibly want from a Christmassy snack?

You'll be able to get your festive mitts on one (or several) from 7 November.

If you're good at maths, or have just seen the latest tweet from Greggs, then you'll realise that's just 100 days away.

If you don't think that the festive bake is something to look forward to then you can shut up. They're so magical that last year, proud Geordie Tony Brown proposed to his girlfriend Rebecca English and then celebrated with one.

Said to be 'the most Geordie proposal ever', he popped the question to his girlfriend outside the Fenwicks' department store Christmas window display before swiftly popping over the road to Greggs.

If nipping to Greggs in a snowstorm doesn't sound like an ideal situation then you can even get the delicacy delivered to your door via Just Eat.

Hannah Squirrell, customer director at Greggs, is also pretty excited about the partnership. She said: "We're thrilled to be working with Just Eat to make it even easier for our customers to enjoy their breakfast and lunch menu favourites.

"From bacon rolls and coffees to our range of bakes, sandwiches and wraps, we'll be able to go direct to the doorsteps of more than a million hungry households."

The service is currently only available in three cities: London, Glasgow and Newcastle. So I'm afraid if you live elsewhere you're still gonna have to get in line.

If you are one of the lucky blighters who lives in one of the aforementioned cities, Just Eat will deliver from the following stores: Whitechapel, East Ham, Elephant & Castle, St Mary's Place, Gosforth High Street, Byker, Victoria Road, Gordon Street and Dumbarton Road.

Since the launch of vegan sausage rolls, Greggs fans have been desperate to get their hands on an animal-friendly version of the festive bake. We'll keep you updated if they roll one out.

If you love festive bakes as much as me, this will be the greatest news you'll have heard all day. Christmas is coming, LADs!
