Jake Paul doesn't have too many boxing matches under his belt and yet he's already started experiencing some of the sport's worst effects.

The YouTube-turned-fighter says he's been forgetful and even suffered from slurred speech recently.

Before he kicked off his fighting career, he underwent a brain scan so that he would have a base recording of what his noggin looked like.

After four matches, he said things have worsened.

In an interview with American journalist Graham Bensinger, Paul said: "I got my brain scanned right before I started boxing and the doctor told me there's lack of blood flow from the concussions I had playing football to certain areas on my brain.

"One of them I believe is the frontal lobe which is partial for memory and so on. After my first year of boxing I went back and it was worse.

"[The doctors] advice is don't do that sport. That's all they can advise as a doctor, I think before it was affecting me at a rapid pace because I never took it easy.

"I was always thrown in there with people who were way better than me until I started to slowly get to their level.

"I notice it in conversations with my girlfriends or friends, not remembering something that I should be able to remember that happened a couple days ago.

"Sometimes in my speech, there's like every 100th or 200th word I'll mess up or like slur, which I didn't do that before."

He's clearly not taking the advice of his doctors because he's pushing ahead with his rematch with Tyron Woodley this weekend.

Paul was meant to be fighting Tommy Fury, however the Love Island UK star pulled out earlier this month due to health issues.

The YouTuber beat Woodley during their first match this year and now all eyes will be on him to see if he can go two from two or if Woodley evens the score.

Paul's sparring partner has warned one of the clauses in the YouTuber's agreement for his upcoming fight could backfire because it's like 'dangling a carrot' in front of Woodley.

The 24-year-old has offered his opponent $500,000 (£375,000) extra to knock him out.

Jake Bostwick, Paul's sparring partner, spoke to Betway US blog and said: "That's a crazy clause.

"He could be dangling that carrot in front of Tyron to get him to come out recklessly and that also adds pressure on Tyron.

"If Tyron comes out swinging he could get caught and we know Jake has power, don't sleep on Jake's power. I think Woodley will come out with a fire under his a** and try to bang but he's got to be smart."
