Shamier Anderson has revealed John Wick: Chapter Four has finished filming.
The Canadian actor has posted a series of photos to his Instagram account showing some of the cast as well as the set props for the fourth instalment to the incredible film franchise.
He wrote: "When 2 Canadians link up and make an action movie. That's a wrap on John Wick 4!
"This has been such a rewarding experience for me. I am so grateful to the team @thunderroadpictures and @lionsgate for this opportunity. 5 months later and we did it. Y'all are in for a treat next summer!"
He's also teased the possible name for the fourth movie as John Wick: Hagakure.
Hagakure is a Japanese book written by samurai Yamamoto Tsunetomo. It serves as a practical and spiritual guide for a warrior and was used as a definitive guide for the samurai in the Pacific War.
It was written 'during a time when there was no officially sanctioned samurai fighting' and it 'grapples with the dilemma of maintaining a warrior class in the absence of war and reflects the author's nostalgia for a world that had disappeared before he was born'.
Sounds very fitting for the upcoming John Wick storyline and audiences can't wait until this gets released.
Filming for the movie started in April earlier this year and the production crew has been trying to navigate filming scenes under new coronavirus restrictions.
Speaking to Collider last year, the film's director, Chad Stahelski, said the creative team had set the bar much higher for this one.
He said: "We submitted an idea or thematic [plan] and it was really big. So, we're talking about doing a little bit more than a [John Wick 4], or something like that, and trying to develop that."
If you've seen John Wick 3 then you'll know that is a tall order.
The fourth film isn't due to be released until 27 May 2022 after it was pushed back a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was originally due to hit our screens in May earlier this year but Keanu Reeves needed to finish filming The Matrix 4 first.
Chad Stahelski told Collider: "I mean, Matrix was only four weeks in when this all happened. So, Keanu's gotta go finish his commitment up on The Matrix, which is a big deal and which I think will probably take him until the end of the year."
Now that filming has finished, we can all get very excited about May 27.
